Meet Rachel Engh

ACET, Inc., is excited to introduce our newest Research Associate, Rachel Engh, who joined the team in March. Rachel recently moved back to Minnesota after living in Pennsylvania. There, she worked with organizations across the country to understand how their programs achieve goals related to community and economic development, affordable housing, youth leadership, and health equity.

Rachel is delighted to join ACET to expand her content knowledge and use her evaluation skills within different contexts. “I’m passionate about serving as a learning partner,” she says. “Often organizations are so busy doing their work, they don’t have the time or capacity to step back and reflect. I enjoy collaborating with clients and communities to imagine how programs can work better. Evaluation can be a powerful tool for social change and equity.”

Rachel brings her experience of developing and enhancing programs to advance equity in communities. For example, Rachel helped a regional foundation understand its history of support for artists affected by systemic inequities and explore ways to better serve artists. And, she supported a community-based nonprofit to understand how its programming increased neighbors’ agency, attachment to each other, and access to cultural offerings. Rachel looks forward to continuing this important work with the organizations that ACET supports.

Rachel’s formal education also has shaped her approach to evaluation. Her BA in sociology and Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning equipped her to understand community development strategies and outcomes and the importance of centering people in her evaluation work.

ACET is thrilled to welcome Rachel to the team! We’re glad you are here!
